PREGNANCY MOVEMENT & COMFORT REVIEW
SUPPORT THROUGH PREGNANCY
Helping you move with more comfort and confidence.
Pregnancy brings significant physical changes and new demands on your body. You may be experiencing pain, finding certain movements more difficult, or feeling unsure how best to stay active as your pregnancy progresses.
This appointment focuses specifically on musculoskeletal symptoms, movement and exercise during pregnancy.
HAVING PELVIC FLOOR SYMPTOMS?
You may need a Pelvic Health Initial Assessment instead.
The Pregnancy Movement & Comfort Review does not include an internal pelvic floor assessment.
If your main concern is bladder leakage, urinary urgency or frequency, bowel symptoms, pelvic pain, vaginal heaviness or prolapse symptoms, vaginal tightness, pain with intercourse, or another pelvic floor concern, please book a Pelvic Health Initial Assessment.

MOVEMENT & COMFORT
Pregnancy-Related Pain
Pregnancy-related discomfort can affect different areas of the body. Your assessment will focus on the symptoms having the greatest impact on your everyday life.
This may include pelvic girdle pain, lower back pain, hip pain, upper back or neck discomfort, pubic symphysis pain or other musculoskeletal symptoms associated with pregnancy.
We can then look at movement, strength and other contributing factors to guide treatment and make daily activity more manageable.
HOW YOUR BODY IS MOVING
Movement Assessment
Pregnancy can change posture, balance, load and the way your body manages everyday movement.
Depending on your symptoms, we may look at movements such as walking, getting in and out of bed, sitting and standing, stairs, lifting, bending or exercise-related movements.
The aim is to identify practical changes that may reduce irritation while helping you remain active where possible.
PERSONALISED SUPPORT
Treatment & Rehabilitation
Your treatment plan will be based on your symptoms, stage of pregnancy and individual goals.
This may include strengthening, mobility work, movement strategies, pacing advice and practical ways to manage activities that are currently uncomfortable.
Rehabilitation can be adjusted as your pregnancy progresses so it continues to reflect what your body needs.
STAYING ACTIVE
Exercise During Pregnancy
If you would like to continue exercising during pregnancy, we can discuss your current routine and any movements or activities that have become uncomfortable.
Advice can be tailored to your lifestyle, activity level and symptoms, helping you adapt exercise where needed while maintaining confidence in movement.
LOOKING AHEAD
Preparing for Birth & Recovery
Your appointment can also include practical advice to help you prepare physically for the later stages of pregnancy, birth and the early postnatal period.
This may include discussion around comfortable movement, activity modification, maintaining strength and planning for a gradual return to activity after birth.
