AL Women's Health provides specialist pelvic health physiotherapy and skin health services.

AL Women's Health processes personal information in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

Consent for clinical assessment or treatment is managed separately from the lawful basis used to process clinical records.

How your information is stored

Clinical records, appointment information and relevant patient communications are primarily managed using Jane, a secure practice-management system.

Payments may be processed through Jane, Square or by bank transfer.

I take appropriate steps to protect personal and clinical information from unauthorised access, loss, disclosure or misuse.

Sharing your information

Your information is not sold to third parties.

Information may be shared where necessary with organisations that help AL Women's Health provide its services, such as practice-management and payment-processing providers.

Where appropriate for your care, relevant information may also be shared with healthcare professionals involved in your treatment, such as your GP, consultant, midwife or other treating healthcare professional. Where appropriate, this will be discussed with you.

Information may also be disclosed where required by law, where necessary to meet professional or regulatory obligations, or where there is a serious concern regarding the safety of you or another person.

Only information that is relevant and necessary will be shared.

Website enquiries

If you contact AL Women's Health through the website, the information you provide may be received and stored within the business email account and used to respond to your enquiry.

Please avoid including unnecessary sensitive medical information in general website enquiries.

Payments

Payments may be processed through Jane, Square or by bank transfer.

Payment providers may process personal and financial information in accordance with their own privacy and security arrangements.

AL Women's Health does not need to retain full payment-card details as part of your clinical record.

Marketing

AL Women's Health does not currently use patient contact details to send promotional marketing emails or text messages.

If this changes in the future, appropriate consent and communication preferences will be obtained and respected where required.

How long information is kept

Personal information is only retained for as long as necessary for the purpose for which it was collected and to meet applicable professional, legal and insurance requirements.

Clinical physiotherapy records are retained in accordance with relevant professional and healthcare record-retention guidance.
